Botox vs. Filler

Botox is primarily used to treat dynamic wrinkles. These wrinkles occur naturally around the eyes and mouth, as well as in between your eyebrows. They become more pronounced with age. Botox injections relax the muscles near these wrinkles. Not allowing the muscles to move reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles.

Botox is not used for fine lines caused by collagen breakdown and is typically used to treat above the nose line of the face.

Latisse

Latisse is a topical solution that promotes thicker, longer eyelashes that should only be sold by prescription. It typically results in growth and thickening of lashes within 4-6 weeks.

Dermal Fillers

While dermal fillers are casually known as “wrinkle fillers,” they can do much more than just smooth out wrinkles, although they are excellent at this too! Here are a few of the common issues dermal fillers can help address:

• Smooth out lines around nose and mouth (a.k.a. marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses)

• Enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples

• Diminish vertical lip lines

• Plump & enhance the lips

• Smooth out a chin crease

• Improve symmetry among facial features

Botox

Typical Botox© injections will take 7-10 days to provide full effect and usually lasts 3-5 months. Repeated treatments may result in longer results as facial muscles begin to atrophy.

Juvederm
