Just imagine getting out of bed in the morning with perfect eyebrows – no makeup needed. If you love the sound of that, then you’ll love permanent makeup. This trending treatment can revolutionize your makeup routine and save you time.
What is microblading?
Microblading is a permanent eyebrow tattoo that creates more volume and definition. Unlike traditional tattoos, microblading uses a different type of ink and is only applied superficially, not in the skin’s deep layers. This means that the tattoo is semi-permanent and will naturally fade over time.
Here’s how it works… A permanent makeup artist uses a fine needle to deposit pigment into your skin which creates small strokes that look like actual brow hairs. These strokes are placed throughout the brow in areas that are sparse.
Who should get microblading?
Do you fill in your eyebrows on a regular basis? Or want your natural brows to have more volume? Then, microblading is perfect for you. One thing to note is that clients with oily skin or really large pores should avoid this type of treatment.
What is microshading?
Microshading is similar to microblading in that it’s also a permanent eyebrow tattoo. However, the technique is different as it doesn’t use strokes to create the individual hair look but rather shades in sparse areas with small needle points.
Unlike microblading, microshading can be more customized to what the client wants. Eyebrows can be made to look more light and airy or more filled in and dramatic.
Who should get microshading?
If you prefer more of a makeup look, then microshading is the best fit for you. It’s also a better option for clients who sweat more or have more mature, oily or sensitive skin.
Can I do a combination of microblading and microshading?
Yes, you can! Currently, it’s one of the most popular permanent makeup treatments out there. A permanent makeup artist will combine hair strokes and shading to create a combination eyebrow. Clients get both the density of a makeup look with fluffy hair strokes for a beautiful, natural eyebrow look.
